* Guided Tours - Available starting May 14, 2011 *
Combine your cycling with an informal guided tour! D & R traverses an area where several critical events of the American Revolution occurred. And, the area Canals have their own stories for those with an interest in these structures built across America in the 1800's. When the D & R was used for transportation, Jersey's landscape was mostly rural, and its primary business was agriculture. Per Howard Green of the NJ Historical Commission, "It has gone from being the machine in the garden, to being the garden in the machine."
